For years gym users have been pounding treadmills and ascending steppers only to have their workout data vanish as soon as they hopped off their beloved machine. At the end of a session there’d be a sea of cardio-lovers standing patiently reading through their key data and metrics, only to lose that information as soon as we departed for the weights area.
Aside from this secretive, self-destruct nature of my data, Id also question the algorithm machines used to provide accurate metrics for my energy expenditure; not to mention how on earth I was going to hold on to the treadmill’s hand-held heart rate monitors while attempting to perform interval repeats.. Thankfully, the clever people at Apple have come up with a new technology which addresses these concerns, allowing for a higher level of accuracy than ever before.
The beauty of GymKit is it allows you to simply tap your Apple Watch on your favourite cardio equipment to seamlessly pair it with treadmills, ellipticals, indoor bikes and steppers. This groundbreaking innovation allows data not previously communicated to exchange seamlessly like heart rate, calories burned, distance, speed and incline, displaying simultaneously on the screen of your equipment and on your Apple Watch. Once your workout is completed, collated data will be stored on the Apple Health app and the Apple Workout Tracker, keeping this data at the ready for future reference.
